3.4.40 & One Man Balloon Meet

The 42nd One Man Meet will be held at Popham Airfield this year, with the chance to meet up with other aviators and learn more about Popham’s 50 year history.

The One Man Meet is solo ballooning for envelopes up to 60,000 cu ft (or ballooning for two with a duo chair). Whether the balloon has a small basket or hopper chair, all are welcome.

Also joining us on the day will be the 3.4.40 region of the BBAC - local balloonists with larger balloons, flying alongside the one-man balloons.

We expect flights to take place on Friday afternoon, Saturday morning and afternoon, and Sunday morning (all weather dependant of course). Usual flight times are around 07:30 and 15:30.

Pilots and crew will be on hand to explain how a balloon works and what's required to fly one.
