Careers and education tent

Most people know about training to become a pilot or flight attendant as a career, but there are so many other job roles across the aviation and aerospace industries which are often overlooked. Following the successful introduction at last year's event, we will again have a dedicated tent for careers where everyone can get involved in understanding the diverse range of opportunities available and what's required to get started in the industry.

Working with a number of organisations including British Young Pilots, RAF Air Cadets and the CAA, we are aiming to highlight that aviation and aerospace career entry routes are vast - from technical courses studied at university, to apprenticeships, graduate programmes, and military service.

There'll be hands-on activities for younger visitors as well as teens and adults, alongside a wealth of information and expertise from people working in the industry today. Don't forget - you're never too old for a career change either - jobs in the industry make use of many transferable skills so if it's something you've always thought about, here's your chance to find out more.

"Aviation and aerospace needs to be ready for the future and we need different talent, ideas and values to make that happen".

- Brenda Jefcoate, STEM Lead, Civil Aviation Authority
